When you, your family, your friends have experienced deep pain, hurts, and trauma, one can imagine roots being withered, dry and may need transplanting into a different environment that nourishes your soul. Taking the remnants of what is left, believing that there is a purpose for all things, and finding new strength in the journey seems impossible at times.
Andrew often finds great focus and supernatural beauty happening when mutually he and clients are seeking and asking the Holy Spirit to be engaged and supportive in the work they do together. As clients work through so many stories of loss, desire, future hope, and devastating change, there sometimes isn’t anything more or better than the faith that is Biblically bounded. Prayerfully considering each story and each outcome to be something to be pursued so that “different” will come out of brokenness. Andrew finds himself actively believing daily there is power in faith, hope and love with the greatest of these being fidelity to the origin of love itself - God.
Originally he and Jana Schmitt (owner of 239 West Pecan Street for 20+ years until March of 2024) created a place to rest, focus, and breathe with clients in Historic Downtown Celina, Texas. They both recognized and saw many people supported by their individual counsel and pairing together of their gifted talents in couples counseling create a place of connecting, discerning, and encouraging those who are looking for a stream, oasis, or cleansing place to hope and seek what is lost. Jana still provides individual care for clients through an online portal and can be found at The Reclaimed Soul.
The hope both of them would claim they’ve partially known in this life, but want to see in the next life face to face, is knowing they’ve been found themselves by the LORD. In the waiting for His return they’ve found seed’s of new growth being silently nurtured within themselves and their clients well-being by Almighty God. The sacred parts of all souls are being given the opportunity to wonderfully and purposefully be made to glorify new and lasting monuments of glory to Him Alone. The seeds of change or renewal may have been discarded, cast aside, forgotten a long time ago but each new growth in time with purposeful nurturing is now understood, cherished and known to have great significance and life in the coming days and future.
