3- Hallowed be Your name
Day 2
Hallowed be Your name — Who art in heaven.
Do we actually know what heaven is?
Isaiah caught a glimpse and collapsed. John saw it and ran out of human language to describe it. And even their words — the seraphim, the sea of glass, the throne, the light that needs no sun — feel like shadows of something our minds were never built to fully hold.
We say who art in heaven and move on in three syllables.
But stop there for a moment.
The Artemis images gave us something — deep space rendered in color and detail that took our breath away. Galaxies beyond galaxies. Light that traveled longer than human civilization has existed just to reach a lens we built. And we called it beautiful.
But God is not looking at the stars the way we look at the stars.
He is not peering out at the universe from somewhere inside it. He is in heaven — outside of it, over it, sustaining it — knowing the totality of all of it simultaneously. Every galaxy. Every particle. Every person. All at once. Fully.
And yet He taught us to come to Him as Father.
That is either the most staggering invitation ever extended to a human being — or we have made it too small to feel it anymore.
Which is it for you today?
