Following forms of payment are accepted: Cash, Check, Visa, MasterCard, AMEX.
Sliding scale will be considered for special circumstances.
A word about insurance:
I am Out of Network for most insurance providers.
My Rooted Soul Counseling ONLY accepts and is only authorized to accept insurance payments from the following IN NETWORK insurance companies and types of insurance. All other insurance providers are out of network:
Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO Members
Please note this is for BCBS PPO members only and MRSC is not an in network provider for BCBS HMO plans.
My Rooted Soul Counseling does reserve the right to review the number of insurance members being provided services to maintain the health of the practice. Not accepting full time insurance from all insurance companies allows MRSC focus, time, and efficiency spent on the content and process of the counseling provided rather than spending time on billing and administrative tasks.
This also keeps confidential details about client progress between My Rooted Soul Counselor’s and the client and maintains a higher form of privacy.

Super Bill and Deductibles
As a courtesy to you, I will provide a Super Bill to all private pay clients. A Super Bill is a coded receipt of services you can submit to your out of network insurance providers directly for the services that you have been provided by me to request reimbursement.
Here are a few questions I suggest asking of your health insurance provider before requesting Super Bill Reimbursement:
Do you reimburse for mental health counseling?
If so, what percentage will you reimburse?
If it will be reimbursed, are there time constraints on the number of minutes of counseling ? (45 min or 53 min)
Do you reimburse for marriage or family counseling?
Can the amount I paid for counseling be applied toward my deductible?
If insurance providers request me to prepare and send all of my records to them when you submit your receipts, I will charge a fee of $35 dollars an hour to complete all requested paperwork.
**My Rooted Soul Counseling reserves the right to evaluate and update current pricing for client sessions at the discretion of the provider. This page reflects the current pricing and all subsequent “new client sessions” will follow this notice and guideline. My Rooted Soul Counseling reserves the right to maintain agreements with all current and previous clientele on a individual and case by case basis based on their individual agreement at the time they signed up for services.
