Lamar Odom: Truth about Porn

I was looking at some of the resources that Covenant Eyes, a website filter that protects users from downloading pornography and maintaining their accountability to remain sober from pornography use on electronic platforms, and found this video interview of how much pornography had effected Lamar Odom’s life. I am thankful for the voice that Lamar is willing to publicly express against pornography at this stage and state in his life and I support such views as he explains that it is damaging and addictive. I find one of his last statements to be really significant -

I think it was a little easier to give up drugs because I don’t think you can die from watching porn, even though you kill relationships, people that you really love. - Lamar Odom

If you are wondering why I am offering such links to resources on this site, it’s because I work with individuals who have been deeply impacted by the ongoing worlds lack of boundaries to provide free access to pornography to anyone who has an electronic device. I believe and desire that if just one person were to choose different it would be a victory for the deeply scarred victims I work with that are deeply injured by the effect of how such visual stimulation viewed by their perpetrators at a young age or even at the age they are is harmful, degrading, and destructive toward the foundation of the family and peaceful and loving relationships.
