A new life is on the verge of a dawn and seeking to burst. Bursting forth into glorious day…

Do you have memories of photos or a photo memory of events that have happened in this year? We are on the verge of a new beginning and a new and glorious day. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Biblical scripture notes this in Matthew 6. There is little energy to worry about tomorrow because there is just enough energy to consider today. Today I am writing from a home that has been a home for more than 40 years. It’s walls breath of laughter and of previous times of emotions that are now memories. It is fitting to be here.

My wife noted that there is history in it’s cabinets as a golden brass colored handle was pushed back and rows of thin cardboard with pictures were displayed and large circular plastic objects were found when the picture covers were moved. The dust movement when the cover was disturbed showed that it had done it’s job in protecting the data on the records. Names unknown to me but treasured in its time were noted and read off to me. Delight in my wife’s voice as she recognized some tunes from her childhood. All of this made me think of my own childhood with Jiminy Cricket and Marci tunes floating back to my prefrontal cortex. I had my own records 40 plus years ago that I would wear out on a child’s player. The tunes are still ones that would cause a flutter in my heart as I know I must have tapped and danced to the rhythm spinning forth and coming from the crackled speakers of the day. My Bose model in ear headphones show the advancement of the age.

The memories of yesterday make room for the memories of today. The memories of tomorrow are still dormant. We play like we know what tomorrow will bring, but tomorrow only tells, what tomorrow will tell and yesterday only fades in the past of yester lore.

The Lord said that the only time I have is the one that is given to me in this moment. In this moment, I mindfully take a breath that tickles my nose and dries the back of my throat, slowly bringing in the oxygen that is needed and releasing the heat and dioxide that is expelled. My breath is slowed as I listen to its rhythm. It has a magical way of producing calm in me. I work so much with client on this exercise. Breathing in and breathing out. Slowly and purposefully. Confident and peaceful. Each breath that I take. Every movement and make. Is a gift from above, from the Holy one of love.

The picture represents to me the first one I have taken and the hope of a new birth. A time that will be known forever. A hope that as I wake to the new and glorious dawn. I will find my hope is built on nothing less, than the peace and joy of righteousness. He is my Rock and my Redeemer, chosen before the beginning of time, and lasting ever more beyond the scope of anything I am able to fathom. I rejoice because in Jesus I am found and look to the day that I will see face to face the hope for which I am made. HE is LORD.
